OBGYN Site Visit Summary

  • Site Visit Summary:

The article was regarded as highly relevant to the clinical case presented before it (OBGYN Rotation #4: H&P #3), proving that management was done well. Some new things that I learned included that TSH levels should be below 2 mIU/L for optimal pregnancy outcomes. Therefore, even if a patient has a TSH within normal limits, in terms of conception, a level below 2 is ideal. I also learned that when evaluating for infertility, it can be of clinical benefit to order an SIS, as it can show pathology such as intrauterine polys. Polyps precipitate infertility due to issues with implantation.
